Notes for the Week of March 7, 2022

As war ravages in Ukraine, economists, market technicians and politicians alike are hopeful that oil supplies will hold out long enough for the US to come up with a back-up plan if President Biden announces a ban on imported Russian oil. Despite such a plan, higher prices at the pump and inflationary pressures elsewhere have Americans feeling the pinch, and yet, others are still worried about another recession in the not-to-distant future.
